Video Cutter · last updated 13 October 2026
The app trims and crops your videos right on your phone. It has no internet permission at all, so it cannot send your videos or any other data anywhere by itself.
Nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting, no device identifiers, no location.
A video is read only when you pick it or share it to the app. The original is never changed. Small preview frames for the trim strip and the cut video are written to the app’s temporary storage; the video is then saved to Movies / Video Cutter, where it stays yours. Temporary copies are removed the next time the app starts; deleting the app deletes them too.
The app sends nothing itself: a file leaves the phone only when you share it to another app (for example mail or a messenger). From that moment that app’s policy applies.
Your settings, theme and language are stored only inside the app. Android backup is turned off for the app.
Trimming, cutting out the middle and cropping are free. Pro is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription. Optional tips are one-off purchases that unlock nothing. Both are handled by the Google Play app; we never see your payment details.
Google Play Billing and the Google Play rating window are the only outside services involved, both through the Google Play app. Video is decoded and encoded by the phone’s built-in codecs through the open-source AndroidX Media3 library, inside the app and without the internet. There are no ad networks, no trackers and no analytics SDKs in the app.
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
